WorldSafe’s internship program is a remote, flexible, unpaid internship intended for college students seeking course credit through their academic institution. We provide structured mentorship, resume-boosting assignments, and access to national-level initiatives in the private security space.

This isn’t busy work. Our interns help shape our digital presence, support strategic operations, and collaborate across departments to tackle challenges that matter.

What Is the WorldSafe Internship Program?

Areas of Internship Focus

Marketing & Communications Interns

You’ll work closely with our marketing team to:

  • Write and edit content for our website, blog, social media, and email campaigns

  • Design branded materials in Canva and Adobe Express

  • Analyze campaign performance and SEO trends

  • Support our non-profit foundation communications

Executive Support Intern (Assistant to the CEO)

Work directly with WorldSafe’s leadership to:

  • Assist in project coordination, research, and documentation

  • Prepare presentation materials and operational documents

  • Gain exposure to C-suite strategic planning and public relations

Sales & Business Development Interns

Help our growth team connect with prospective clients by:

  • Researching leads and managing CRM updates

  • Supporting virtual events, email follow-ups, and outreach

  • Creating sales presentations, decks, and one-pagers

Program Format & Requirements

Format: Remote (with opportunities to join in-person team meetings or events)

Duration: 15–20 hours/week for 3–6 months (adjusted per academic calendar)

Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students in related fields

Start Dates: Rolling (Spring, Summer, Fall cohorts)

Is the internship paid?

No. The internship is unpaid and designed for students receiving academic credit through their college or university.

How many hours per week are required?

Most interns work between 15–25 hours per week. This is flexible and dependent on your academic requirements.

Can I intern remotely?

Yes. All internships are primarily remote, with occasional optional in-person opportunities for events or team collaborations.

Will I receive mentorship and feedback?

Absolutely. Interns are paired with a supervisor who provides guidance, feedback, and support throughout the program.

What majors or backgrounds do you accept?

We welcome students from a wide range of majors, including marketing, business, communications, criminal justice, political science, public affairs, emergency management, business administration, and related fields.

Can I apply if I’ve already graduated?

Our internship is primarily for current students receiving credit, but recent graduates with a strong interest in the field may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. The WorldSafe internship program is structured to meet most institutions’ requirements for credit-bearing internships. We’re happy to work with your department to provide learning objectives, evaluations, or other documentation.

Do you offer internships year-round?

Yes. We accept interns on a rolling basis throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.

How does WorldSafe ensure educational value?

Interns work on real projects, have direct access to supervisors, receive feedback, and gain resume-ready deliverables. They are never assigned menial work.

Can I refer students directly to WorldSafe?
