RISK ASSESSEMENTS

What is a Security Site Assessment?

A security site assessment or physical security risk assessment is an evaluation conducted by a security professional that includes an inventory of the assets to be protected, as well as recommendations on how best to protect them.

Who Should Get an Assessment?

A Security Site Assessment is appropriate for nearly any organization - from schools to corporate headquarters, to sporting arenas, manufacturing plants, utilities, supply chain locations, malls, facilities, hotels, construction sites, and large properties. Any building, of any size, that is open to the public and houses employees or students.

The decision to harden the physical security of your building can bring up many questions:

  • Where are we most vulnerable?

  • What are our biggest risks?

  • What should we fix first?

Some of the things a site surveys covers include analyzing existing security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, assessing threat likelihood, recommending security upgrades, and developing comprehensive security plans.

Why Have a Physical Security Assessment?

A security professional can conduct a physical security assessment at your building to determine:

  • Greatest threats to people and property

  • Gaps or areas you’ve overlooked

  • Priority items to tackle right away

Things you look at every day could be a problem without you realizing it. Something obvious to a security professional (like an unprotected door latch bolt) could be an easy miss for a building owner.

Knowing these things will help you prioritize, budget, and implement the right security solutions.

Get Resilient

Security Resiliency vs. Physical Security Assessments

Security resiliency is a broader concept that includes both physical and cybersecurity measures to ensure an organization can withstand, respond to, and recover from threats.

While our physical security assessments focus on vulnerabilities in access control, surveillance, perimeter security, and emergency preparedness, our resiliency services often go beyond just assessment to include response planning, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management.

WorldSafe provides resiliency-focused security assessments rather than standalone physical security evaluation, to maintain security and safety standards as well as compliance.
